Ways to Add Physical Activity

  • See if there is before or after school programs that could help increase physical activity.

  • Is walking or biking to or from school a possibility to increase physical activity? 

  • Build in daily or weekly routines to increase your child’s physical activity. This can be spending family time at a local park, walking the dog, playing in the back yard, family bike rides, or setting up playtime with friends.

  • Attend local options such as gymnastics, swim lessons, climbing, 5K’s, dance classes, or sports camps

  • Create opportunities by organizing events with family and friends like hikes, bike rides, or sporting events.

  • Find ways to add physical activity daily during your child's Summer Break.
